Gülce Başer
Born in 1973 in Germany, Başer graduated from Bornova Anadolu Highschool and Department of Business Administration, Boğaziçi University. In 2011, she completed hers master's degree in the Atatürk Institute for Modern Turkish History at Boğaziçi University with her thesis on “Turkish Poetry in the 1980-1983 Junta Period” and in 2016 she completed her doctorate in the same department with her thesis on “The Transformation of Politics in Turkish Poetry in the 1980s”.
In addition to working as an editor at Komşu Yayınları in 2012-2018, she prepared the “Şimdi Haberler”, section in Varlık journal and the translated literature news section on artfulliving.com. She wrote literary articles for Pulbiber and 221B magazines. Her poems, stories, reviews, interviews and book reviews appeared in newspapers and magazines such as 221 B, Varlık, Kitap-lık, Yasakmeyve, Cumhuriyet Kitap, Eşik Cini, Siyahi, Heves, Şiir Saati, Siyahi, Duvar, Mühür, Peyniraltı Edebiyat, Kara Kalem, Gazete Ege.
