    REPUBLIC OF TURKEY HISTORY

“Turkish democracy has followed the path led by the French Revolution, but has developed with its own distinctive characteristic. Because every nation makes its revolution in accordance with the pressures and needs of its social environment and the situation and the time of this revolution and reformation." Mustafa Kemal Atatürk

“A ruined country on the edge of the abyss... Bloody struggles with various enemies.... Years of war.... After that, a new homeland, a new society, a new state, recognized with respect at home and abroad, and uninterrupted revolutions to achieve them.” Mustafa Kemal Atatürk

The modernization efforts of the Ottoman Empire did not yield the desired results, and the state came to the edge of the abyss at the end of the Balkan Wars and the World War I. In desperate conditions where everything was thought to be over, the Turkish people stood up under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, fought a great struggle and regained the land of the homeland. As a result of a great test of international diplomacy with the Lausanne Peace Treaty, the independence gained after the Victory of the National Struggle was crowned and century-old insidious plans were destroyed. From then on, it was planned to give the Republic of Turkey a modern, democratic and national look with the revolutions realized in every field.
